An American Story.
Raised in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, Ben LeBlanc grew up building. Much of his high school and college years were spent helping his father and brothers construct a family home in Wells, Maine — an experience that shaped the hands-on mindset that still drives his work today
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree from UMass Lowell, Ben left New England for Michigan, stepping into the manufacturing world through plastics engineering. Over the next seven years, his career expanded into additive manufacturing, strategic manufacturing initiatives, and leading prototype vehicle builds for GM Defense. Now, he engineers aerospace turbine components for investment casting.
But building has never been limited to one industry, material, or process.
Blanc Slate Concepts was created from the belief that the best solutions come from approaching projects without rigid assumptions — with a blank slate mindset. Drawing from experience across automotive, manufacturing, fabrication, construction, and design, Blanc Slate Concepts exists to help bring ambitious ideas and practical projects to life.
Whether the work involves metal, wood, plastics, structures, prototypes, or custom fabrication, the goal remains the same: thoughtful problem solving, quality execution, and building something real.
Whatever the project, Blanc Slate Concepts is ready to start building.
